UPDATE: We’re now hoping to run the next one of these courses in March 2020 (probably late March, and definitely a Saturday). As soon as we have a date fixed, we’ll post it here. In the meantime, if you have any queries about this course, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
This is a popular course aimed at people about to set forth on a bicycle tour or be some distance from repair services.
As well as covering on the road repairs such as broken spokes, gear damage, and brake issues the course also covers personal preperation, transporting a bike, setting a bike up, luggage considerations and a host of other topics.
Our tutors all have personal experience of long distance touring in a wide variety of environments, including Lands End to John o’Groats, C2C as well as many locations across the world.
In the past, the course has been run on a demand-led basis, but in 2020, we’ll start scheduling dates instead.
Past students have cycled UK to Turkey, a general European tour as well as several trekking east/west and north/south in North America and a pair to China.
This course is very hands-on, so it can be a good idea to bring your own bike to work on, though we can frequently provide a bike for you during the course.
